Restorations

	In this Beacon Hill renovation, the owners needed some way to separate the kitchen area and living room, but without a partition. So we designed this little arched vestibule, which preserves the open look of the space while providing a visual demarcation.
We used this detail as an inspiration for the big cherry bookcase on the bookcases page. it’s rare to find carvings like this in the South End, but our client lucked out.
	An unusual project. to save space, our client moved his boiler for his heating system outdoors, hired us to build an attractive cover for it. I doubt we’ll ever do anything like it again.

	Railings: For this West Roxbury home, we had to restore the front porch and the handrail. They decided to stain it natural. Once again: douglas fir.
